The first picture of our beautiful baby!!
The Belly at 10 Weeks
The first trimester seemed to fly by! I feel very lucky that I only had a few weeks of morning sickness. The books definitely don't lie when they warn of extreme tiredness! I was super tired all the time but unfortunately our crazy life didn't decide to calm down just because I was pregnant. I tried my best to keep up with life exactly like I did before but I must admit that the laundry piled up and Mike cooked 100% more dinners than me :o) I feel SO blessed to have the most amazingly sweet husband who takes great care of Madison and me without ever complaining. We are also very lucky to have Grammie (my Mom) came for a week to help us catch up on everything!
The Bump at 16 Weeks
We were counting down the days until we were able to have the "big" ultrasound to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. Aundrea her little ring twirling trick which she swore was 100% accurate and the test told us it would be a little boy. From day one, Mike was convinced it was a baby girl. At 18 weeks we were finally able to find out what we were having and it's a....

Sucking her thumb
We were very excited to find out that we were having a little girl!! Mike was 100% right and Aundrea's little test was 100% wrong :o) Madison was hoping for a baby brother but as soon as she learned the baby is a girl, she was very excited!! She can't wait to take care of her and teach her all kinds of things. As soon as we announced that we are having a girl we began hearing the same question over and over..."Do you have a name?" It makes me laugh because life is really just a series of questions..."When are you getting married? When are you having a baby? When is the baby due? Is it a boy or a girl? Do you have a name yet? etc". Keeps life exciting! We decided that the baby should have a "M" name to go along with her sister Madison and her cousin Mason. So the baby's name is...
Marley Kay Rios
No matter how many names we considered, we kept coming back to the name Marley. Mike proposed on Christmas Day 2008 right after we finished seeing the movie "Marley and Me" so the name Marley will always have a special meaning to us. Mike's Mom passed away when he was a teenager so we wanted to give baby Marley her Grandma Rios' middle name, Kay. Madison has her Grandma Rios' first name, Lorraine, as her middle name so both girls will have a special way of remembering their Grandma. Having a name for this sweet little girl makes the whole thing seem so much more real.
The Belly at 21 Weeks
My belly is really starting to grow and there is no hiding the bump anymore! Feeling Marley kick and move in my belly is by far the most amazing thing I have ever felt in my life!! I have loved Marley from the minute I found out I was pregnant but feeling her moving around has made me feel such a special connection to her. I was dying for Mike to be able to feel her move around and I loved seeing his face when he was finally able to feel her kicking. When Madison felt Marley move for the first time, her eyes got HUGE and she was amazed!! We are all so excited for this little girl to get here!!

I love the blog! I am thankful for your time and hard work to get it up and running. I look forward to following along as I try to be patient for Marley's arrival :-) Love you Team Rios!! Grammie
